The School Day
Registration for all children is at 8:45am; any children arriving after this time are late.
Arriving at School
Both sets of gates from Hornby Avenue will be open to all families to enter and exit the school grounds prior to the playground entrances opening at 8:30am. A bell will ring at 8:35am to allow children to make their way to their classes from this time. A second bell will ring at 8:45am to signal any children arriving after this time are late.
Drop off Information
Nursery children will enter directly into the Nursery setting at their designated time.
Reception children should be dropped off at the Reception classrooms, gates to the back of the playground.
Years 1, 2 & 4 enter via the Key Stage 1 doors (the ramp entrance).
Years 3, 5 & 6 enter via the Key Stage 2 doors (small steps)
Morning Break
Years 1, 2 & 3 break is at 10:15 -10:30am
Years 4, 5 & 6 break is at 10:45 -11:00am
Children may bring a healthy snack to eat at this time. This should be either a fruit or vegetable snack. We are a nut free school and items that may contain traces of nuts will need to be handed to an adult and returned to the child at the end of the day.
Lunch
11:40am for Reception
12:00pm for Years 4, 5 and 6
12:30pm for Years 1 ,2 and 3
Lunch break lasts for 45 minutes and children have the choice of ordering school meals, bringing a packed lunch or going home for lunch.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for free school meals, and older children may be eligible if their parents receive certain benefits. If you think you may be eligible for free school meals, please contact the school office.
End of the day and collection information
The school day ends at 3:10pm for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The school day ends at 3:15pm for Years 3,4,5 & 6.
Nursery children are to be collected directly from the Nursery.
Reception children are to be collected from the Reception gates to the back of the playground.
All classes, Years 1-6, will be brought to the playground for collection.
We appreciate your patience as we aim to have all children out of school at the times above.
The school day for Reception and KS1 is 32 hours and 5 minutes and for KS2 is 32.5 hours.
