24 February 2017

Dear Parents and Staff

We are delighted to inform you that a PTA Group for Prince Avenue has recently been set up. A meeting was held on 9th February 2017, several parents interested in joining attended the meeting and the committee were elected. Most of the committee are new to running a PTA and are currently working hard to formalise all details and start fundraising. A leaflet with further information will be circulated soon. We have set up a Facebook page to let you know about upcoming events - please request to join via
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1878592762384772/, only parents of the school can access this page and will need to be approved by the committee.

Our purpose for creating a PTA will predominantly be fundraising work, but we are hoping to raise the social side of the school too. Fundraising events provide opportunities for parents, staff and pupils to get together and hopefully this will create a closer connection between us all. Money will be raised throughout the year by organising events and this will be spent on fun things for the children of the school.

Our PTA currently consists of:

Committee
Kelly Underwood – Chair, Natasha King – Vice Chair, Louise Fagg – Secretary, Amy Taylor – Treasurer, Claire Rouxel – Vice Treasurer, Jenny Pond – Media, Catherine Campbell - Committee Member, Tracy Brooks - Committee Member, Kerry Sullivan - Committee Member, Caroline Marlow - Committee Member

Class/Staff Representatives
Michaela Millard, Jenny Pond, Amy Taylor, Stacey bishop, Lyndsey Coad, Caroline Marlow, Catherine Campbell, Tracy Brooks, Kelly Ilett, Jenny Wood, Claire Harris, Brendon Hahn
The Committee will meet on a regular basis, with meetings including class reps/volunteers when we are planning larger events.
There are lots of ways you can help and support your child through the PTA, offering to help before and at events will be so valuable. It doesn’t matter if you cannot help on a regular basis, or even if you cannot come into school, there are always jobs that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare e.g. preparing raffle tickets, collecting donations etc. If you would like to be more involved, you can volunteer to be a member/volunteer or simply support at events and give us your ideas.
You can also help by letting us know if you have any contacts or skills we could use, everything is
potentially valuable to us.

We very much hope that you will all support the PTA to benefit all our Children.

Thanks in advance!

The PTA
